WALSMA OIL COMPANY, INC. has been active in the petroleum industry for over 50 years. Mr. Walsma (Bill) started as a teenager working for a gas station in Glendale, Ca. Later in his mid-twenties he purchased a station himself. After years of working the station, Bill packed up his wife and three boys and moved to the Antelope Valley. Bill ran an Exxon distributorship for over 20 years building a good enough relationship with his customers that most followed him to his new location, which he still owns and operates. While serving farmers, industrial plants and construction sites, Bill has become very knowledgeable regarding their petroleum needs and requirements while working in a desert environment.

Currently, two of Bill's sons, Jay and Jon have taken the reins and are managing the Lancaster Plant, which supplies 76 Lubricants products. The Lancaster Plant is growing everyday due to the diligence of the family's care and concern for all their existing and potential customers. Bill's work ethic was instilled in both his sons, who are equally hard workers that strive hard to develop and increase productivity and product satisfaction throughout the service area.

While Bill is still very active in the day-to-day operations, he likes to spend his extra time in restoring antique pumps. Having quite the collection ranging from 1919 to 1950's he gets frequent requests to use his pumps in commercials or in an advertisement, but he feels they're to valuable to risk damage or loss. Being actively involved in this journey, Bill had a building created especially for his antique petroleum pieces. The building is named Preservation Of Old Pumps. Or as we like to think of it as the P.O.O.P. building. Stop by our office and see the collection.
